Butterfly Valves

Butterfly valves are used to regulate the flow of fluids. They are primarily used for fully closed or fully open applications. Butterfly valves are usually lightweight and easy to install. The wafer style butterfly valve prevents backflow in uni-directional flow systems. Lug style valves are installed into a system using only two sets of bolts, permitting either side of the piping system to be disconnected without disrupting flow on the other side.

Common types of Butterfly valves:
  • Resilient - flexible rubber seat, working pressure 232 psi
  • High performance - double eccentric in design working pressure up to 725 psi
  • Tricentric – metal-seated design, working pressure up to 1450 psi
